Mr. and Mrs. Shaikh is an NRI family based out of Saudi Arabia, back in India they were looking forward to having their dream home as ultimately wish to settle in India after few years.

During their search for Interior designers in NIBM road / Mohammed wadi they met quite a few interior designing firms, they were primarily looking for company that can handle end to end designing and execution of the project including quite a lot of civil works like Italian marble flooring, kitchen, Tv UNIT in Italian marble etc.

After meeting several Interior designers in NIBM road / Mohammed wadi they visited their actual sites, finally with their gut feel and due diligence selected decorMyPlace team as an Interior Partner for their dream home. We classified this project under ourELITE PROJECT CATEGORY.

As the family was settled in Saudi for quite long time, they developed the taste for Middle Eastern designs and decors, so they wanted us to understand Middle Eastern designs with modern outlook, we put almost a month to study and understand those designs, our observation was as follows…

The Middle East is a region rich in culture and history, and its interiors reflect the diversity of this region. Some of the common characteristics of Middle Eastern interiors include:

1. Ornate designs: Middle Eastern style of interiors are often characterised by their intricate and ornate designs. This can be seen in almost every element of designing material like decorative tiles, carpet works, ornate chandeliers, and detailed wooden carvings.
2. Use of colors techniques: Colors are known to play highly significant role in Middle Eastern interiors. Few bold and vibrant colors like blues, greens, reds, and golds are most widely used to create a vibrant and lively atmosphere.
3. Use of upholstery: Textiles or upholstery are an important element in Middle Eastern interiors. Fabrics such as silk, velvet, and embroidered textiles are often used for draperies, cushions, and upholstery, adding richness and texture to the designed spaces.
4. Mosaic patterns: Variety of mosaic patterns are commonly used in Middle Eastern interior designing practice, especially in tiles and wall decorations. These intricate pattern designs are often featuring geometric shapes and are inspired by ancient Islamic art from Egypt, Turkey etc.
5. Calligraphy: Arabic calligraphy specially to decorate walls is a popular element in Middle Eastern interiors. It is often incorporated into decorative items like lamps and vases, even on crockeries.
6. Courtyards and fountains: well-designed decorative courtyards and fountains are an important element of traditional Middle Eastern interiors / architecture. They are often incorporated into homes to create a peaceful and calming environment and helps in temperature control and even in maintaining the fragrance in the atmosphere.

This was gruelling design specially to bring out intricate Middle eastern flavour and especially due to covid period, there were shortage of labour and interior material vacuity. Lot of masonry work involved in this design like demolition and new construction of couple of walls, Italian flooring tiling work, Utility and kitchen platforms, plumbing. Many pieces of cabinetwork like settees, Dining, coffee tables, corner tables etc have been aimed and developed from the scratch. For the sittings bases we primarily exercised GOLDEN PVD designer pieces. There is partition design between living and dining that runs from FLOOR TO CEILING, this partition is the central piece that catches the eyes.

For the kitchen, we opted for an undyed quartz surface and installed modern Hettich and BLUM hardware fittings and tandem systems. To meet the client's request for a luxurious look, we used imported acrylics for the kitchen facia. We utilized various essence lists to create the winner bedroom television unit and guest bedroom decor. Additionally, we included wainscot designs in a golden hue to stay on-trend.
