Vinit and Priyanka bought this apartment in 2019, they have been staying in Balewadi for last few years as he works with one of the largest IT companies in Balewadi itself, so they extensively searched for their dream house in Balewadi.

Before 6 months of getting the possession, they started searching for the best interior designers or designing companies in Balewadi Pune. Couple visited quite a few studios from various companies, visited few individual practitioners in Pune, visited few ongoing sites and decided to go with decorMyPlace team as their interior partners. They visited our gallery, visited our ongoing 1-2 projects, spoke to few clients, and felt that decorMyPlace team is passionately committed to the interior designing professionally.

Our passion and commitment helped us to win this client. Few more parameters they evaluated were premium specifications of materials, concept of bulk buying discount. As per Mrs. Shukla, in their previous project they faced challenges of maintenance, so her one of the important parameters for selection was the availability of team in nearby area and long duration warranty.

Capability to handle Civil work was another criterion, as family wanted to convert one of the bathrooms into Pooja room as per Vaastu, that involved quite a bit civil work like demolition, plumbing etc. Another piece of civil work was to demolish existing kitchen platform and construct new platform in modern countertop material like quartz or premium tiles, they wanted us to fix dado tiles as well. Additional civil work was in the utility area so that they can have dedicated space for washing machine as well as dishwasher, sink fitting and water drain unit.

Family had expectation of good false ceiling designs not very jazzy but to get various types of possible lighting like focus lighting, ambient lighting, functional lighting mood lighting, so that during functions or parties they can utilise various types of lighting to entertain their guests. Family wanted someone who has done good work especially in the bunk bed designs as in the kids’ room they wanted bunk bed so that kids as well as their grandparents can get accommodated whenever required.

Project scope involved balcony decoration as well, so we suggested some small landscaping and outdoor furniture along with small garden in balcony. For balcony roof we added PVC false ceiling and hue lights to make balcony look cozy. This family love barbecue so we have created some dedicated space in the balcony for barbeque station considering the wind flow.

In living room, we considered bronze mirror panelling in a diamond shape, so several pieces of mirrors were cut into diamond shape and paste on the panelling to create illusion of depth especially near dining table.

To add premium finish, for TV unit console it was decided to add Corian / Solid surface layer so that the complete unit looks one single piece without any black lines of laminates.
